Yuru Camp/Laid Back Camp (Season Three) (2024) [REVIEW] | Encouragement Of Camping

Since i’ve promised we would correct the lack of newer Yuru Camp/Laid Back Camp content on the site, here is the promised review of the anime third season.

I won’t be covering the mobile game, Yuru Camp Together/All For One, despite planning to do so, not this time, maybe next year, it’s such a clunky pile of gacha ass (not that kind of gacha ass) that i struggled to even bother with it, even putting aside its performance issues.

That will get a full review, eventually, because it’s awful, but for now i will review the last season of the Yuru Camp anime, after giving some first impressions some time ago.

Might as well, since Season 4 has been announced back in November 2024, 1 year ago, so it’s confirmed (with a picture drawn for the occasion by the author of the Yuru Camp manga, Afro) but we still don’t know anything else besides it will eventually exist.

… this is where i would say some updates on that dribbled down between me starting this review and the day of posting, but nope, still nothing about it besides “is in the works”.

[EXPRESSO] ENA: Dream BBQ – Chapter 1 STEAM | BLESSED BUSINESS

Based off the cult webseries by Joel Guerra, ENA: Dream BBQ is basically a new adventure for ENA and his gaggle of absurdist weirdo acquaintaces, as you are tasked to “find the target boss”, whatever that means in a world where cubist gestalt MPD humans exists alongside penguin-vampires, sumi-e men in frogsuit, mannequins, 2D witches, genies, where the sky is filled with stuff like a hippoheaded-pyramid with tendrils, and just a constant cascade of surreal shit.

The series already felt like you threw LSD Dream Emulator, Cat Soup, added a dash of those old point n click educational games from Humungous Entertaiment (like Spy Fox or the Putt Putt games) and the Zelda CDI games, all thrown into a huge pot that’s also sentient and speaks in a faux gibberish language, so making an actual first person adventure/point n click explorative title was a given, and after years, it’s out… the first chapter 1 is, anyway, for free to everyone, though the other episodes will be paid, and if you want to support the project, there’s a “Supporter Edition” DLC that adds collectables and gives you access to various behind the scenes materials.

If you’re not familiar with the series, you’ll be right at home and intrigued to see the whys and whats of ENA’s new look and “purpose”, if you don’t, it’s gonna be honestly just as caught up as you could, as there’s plenty of new weird faces and things to interact, talk to, use, gander at, but gameplay is both surprisingly and expectedly fairly simple in terms of systems and controls (there’s also full gamepad support) for an explorative adventure game, with some simple platforming.

Honestly i strongly encourage getting the “support edition DLC” after, because damn, this first chapter is already top tier stuff, just incredible.

Salutations!

You’ve made it to 2024, and hopefully we will be able to see and play Ena: Dream BBQ when it releases, really look forward to that.

And maybe to have all Disgaea titles ported to PS4 and PS5 in their “Complete/Complete +” edition, come on NIS, re-release Disgaea D2, cowards.

(Again, for clarifications, this is not a sponsorship or anything, i just fuckin love the ENA series by Joel Guerra, just big fan, even bought two of the ENA plushies to help them fund the game).

Happy new year!

There Is No Prank

So, the prank of “April 1st” this year is not only the lack of any prank, but the fact i’m gonna take a couple days off, so reviews will resume on the 4th of april, and we’ll catch up on the more recent big film releases, sorry if the last weeks were kinda lacking in this department.

Also, keeping in the tradition of this “1st april posts” i made here, i’m gonna recommend you wishlist Ena Dream BBQ on Steam, which is gonna be a free game based/continuing on the hit webseries ENA by Joel G.

Literally, that’s it, so sod off to the steam page, here’s the link.

We made it to 2022

GOT TURRON?

Rejoice, o’ fellows, we actually made it to a new year. It will probably suck as much as 2021 since we’re gonna still have to deal with this fuckin pandemic shit, but if we actually try we can make it suck less and maybe even be done with this COVID crap.

Let’s try, why not?

Regardless, we made it so far, so give yourself a pat on the back, a tankard of whatever alcoholic beverage you prefer, and look forward to the EXPRESSO reviews of the new movies that are either NOW just dropping here in italian theathers (or are scheduled for months later, like Nightmare Alley won’t be seen here in cinemas until february or something, fuck’s sake), like Matrix Resurrections literally just released now here on January 1st 2022.

12 Days Of Dino Dicember are still going, after that full lenght reviews will be on a 1 week break or something, while EXPRESSO ones will release as soon as they are ready/i can see the films itself.

Also, just watched the Spielberg’s West Side Story remake on my free time, go see it, it’s pretty fucking good, definitely an excellent movie to end my 2021 cinema experience.
