Dino Apology

(couldn’t find a dinosaur doing the bow, so here’s a screenshot from that Gintama scene)

So today there was another 12 Days Of Dino Dicember review planned…. but due to unexpected complications in my personal life i couldn’t deliver, sorry.

So it just means we’ll catch up and close 12 Days Of Dino Dicember with the 2 reviews scheduled for the occasion, again, sorry.

Salutations!

You’ve made it to 2024, and hopefully we will be able to see and play Ena: Dream BBQ when it releases, really look forward to that.

And maybe to have all Disgaea titles ported to PS4 and PS5 in their “Complete/Complete +” edition, come on NIS, re-release Disgaea D2, cowards.

(Again, for clarifications, this is not a sponsorship or anything, i just fuckin love the ENA series by Joel Guerra, just big fan, even bought two of the ENA plushies to help them fund the game).

Happy new year!

September to Dicember, the decisive schedule of things to come (final cut)

As previously said before the mid-August break, due to me also going back to the uni for a master’s degree, i had to made some decisions for the blog, the rate of posting, and so on.

Basically from today onwards, i can guarantee a weekly article/review here, and some monthly rubrics will either go away or remain in downsized version, while i also plan some new rubrics altogether.

On the upside, EXPRESSO reviews will now NOT be bound to any schedule, so they will happen on a “as soon – and if – i can make them” base, which will result in most scheduled reviews being extended or not short one. Maybe.

In terms of what’s gonna happen and what exceptions to the rules will happen, here’s the lowdown:

September will have a weekly guaranteed post schedule.

October will have a review/post every 3 days, usually for The Spooktacular Eight, which will still be around indefinitely… but not this October, as we have a retrospective pretty much already done.

November will have a regular guaranteed review every 7 days, the new standard.

Dicember will have yet again a weekly posting base…. until the 24th as while Dino Dicember is NOT coming back yet, 12 Days Of Dino Dicember IS, so from the 25th up to the 5th of January (included), we’ll have a daily review about dinosaur movies.

For the other rubrics, here’s the plan so far.

Monster March will be back.

Musou May will remain.

Pinocchiorama will proceed with a monthly pick all the way through 2023 as previously planned, though December’s entry might arrive earlier than the last day of the month due to the 12 Days Of Dino Dicember post cavalcade.

One of the new rubrics will debut in February or later.

In case of changing schedules or relevant changes i’ll have to make, i’ll update you as soon as i can.

Later for a “back to school” review!

Futurama PS2 [REVIEW] | … With Blackjack and Hookers

To celebrate the second return of Futurama on TV (even if i’m not expecting much given how these modern resurrections-continuations of beloved animated TV series-franchises, but who knows, i’m remaining cautiously semi-optimistic), time to take a look at its forgotten – and by now quite rare – PS2/X-Box tie-in videogame, simply called “Futurama”.

And what it might as well be the only Futurama videogame, since there’s not much to say about the mobile only Futurama: Worlds Of Tomorrow, besides it being a cheap and shallow cash grab akin to many other free-to-play tycoon simulators, like Simpsons Tapped Out, maybe a little more complete since it had a combat system in it from the start, but still, mostly a shallow time waster very heavy on aggressively try to make you fork out cash for anything of “substance” available.

Then again, it’s not like you can play it anymore, the servers were closed for real (as in they were announced to be closing in 2022) this year on the 9th of March.

Pirate Warriors 4… New DLC characters?

honestly can’t believe i’m talking about Pirate Warriors 4 again, but suddendly, out of nowhere, a week ago, there was a tweet announcing that One Piece Pirate Warriors 4 would receive more DLC characters in the near future, and info would be revealed during One Piece Day 2023, meaning the 22th of july, as in a couple days after the announcement was made.

I tuned it, and among other many announcements and stuff – including a new trailer with new footage for the Netflix live action One Piece series, which seems less awful than expected as we see more of it, but i’m reserving judgement for when the series drop at the end of August – and yep, it’s definitely what was reasonable to expect.

Yep, after 3 years of when the game launched (and all the DLC characters, which were released in 3 waves, the last one in December 2020), 3 years of what i guess now can be called “inactivity”, there’s new paid stuff coming for Pirate Warriors. As in a new Character Pass has been announced, with 9 new playable characters for PW 4 , divived in 3 packs that are gonna be released over time, each including 3 characters that are tied by a theme.
